About Jayne
An avid diver and underwater photographer, Jayne is resident photographer with The Ocean Agency. Also actively involved in many facets of the diving industry and has been for over four decades, Jayne has worked as a safety diver and researcher for various underwater film, television, and photographic expeditions. These include the cave diving spectacular Sanctum, Chasing Coral and the latest, a documentary about seahorses for the BBC Natural History unit. Jayne was a photographer for the Catlin Seaview Survey, Artists for the Arctic, an Explorer Club Flag Expedition and Elysium, The Coral Triangle.
Jayne feels privileged to be one of four Australian females inducted into The Woman Divers Hall of Fame , proud to be a Fellow International of the world-famous Explorers Club and was chosen to be one of 10 Ocean Decade Champions for United Nations.
Jayne hopes her drive and enthusiasm for the ocean has inspired countless individuals to take up diving to appreciate and protect the oceans and loves nothing more than sharing her love of the oceans with others. “Our youth are the key to the future of the oceans, and we need to educate and support them so that they protect them in the future”. Jayne has a passion for seahorses and sharks and you will always find her diving her favourite local sites around Sydney and often South Australia but more than happy if she can travel overseas.
